Street Lighting and Electrical
Lighting Section
This section is responsible for:-
(i) the street lighting network covering the City Council area and includes main roads (A & B) as well as all municipal roads. Maintenance of the street lighting network on the motorway is presently being done by the Central Electricity Board.
(ii) Maintenance and improvement of electrical installation of:-
- Municipal gardens and cemeteries.
- Municipal Infant school.
- Football grounds and other play pitches including petanque courts and health tracks.
- Multipurpose complexes and social halls.
- Markets and Fairs.
- Administrative Centres.
- Mechanical Workshop.
- Public lavatories.
- Street illumination.
- Occasional fixing of flood lights, power points, lighting of tents for festivities related to cultural and religious occasions and national festivals.
