Introduction
The Finance Department is headed by the Financial Controller, who is assisted by an Accountant/Senior Accountant, and consists of the following sections :

The functions of the Finance Department include among others:
- Preparation and Monitoring of Annual Estimates
- Preparation of Financial Statement
- Identifying funds for Capital Projects
- Financial Management of Projects
- Management of Investments of Council
- Monitoring and Control of Debtors
- Advise the Chief Executive & Council on Financial matters
- Collection of all Council’s revenue
- Responsible for procurement of goods and services
- Effect payment for Supplies and services
- Processing of Council’s monthly payroll
- Managing insurance matters
